Pup of Joe Coffee is a business concept that I envisoned back when my late soul doggo Junior was sick. I thought it would be smart to blend my love of coffee and love of dogs. I thought of a company that would be able to seriously impact the lives of many dogs in need. And as a by product our efforts would also help people. I would use my skills in advertising to build a company that donates to Shelter dogs. And eventually funding a dog sanctuary. I have many plans to help shelter dogs find forever homes. I have planned this for years, I wont stop until I can make this come to be. Pup Of Joe Coffee will be my lifelong effort to repay the love my soul dog Junior showed me. I owe him my life. He was with me in my darkest days. He never judged me, he was always by my side. My dog Junior showed me love that I had never felt. Tragically he was taken from me at the age of 7. He got aggressive cancer and died very quickly. I promised to honor his memory and help as many doggos as I possibly can. I belive my efforts can be multiplied if I surround myself with like minded individuals. Maybe one day motivating all companies to give back to good causes.

I am a Air Force Vet, I suffered an injury while I trained for deployment back in 2012. I ended up a part of the many military members made to operate like normal while taking narcotic pain killers. After two years of being on narcotic pain killers, I had a very unfortunate day. My regular doctor was on vacation, so I got a doctor I had never seen prior. He made three mistakes that day. One he selected to give me Fentynal, Secondly He prescribed too high of a dose. Then he and the pharmacy failed to catch the mistake. In additon, both the prescribing doctor and the pharmacy did not educate me on how to properly use transdermal patches. I used the patches they gave me and ended up overdosing at work on the job. I was working outside in the hot sun, with a pain patch on under my uniform. It was a recipe for disaster. I blacked out approximatley 12 to 15 minutes from the Emergency Room. My fellow co worker saved my life that day. He drove me to the ER, he knew I needed urgent care. Upon arrival at the ER, I was quickly diagnosed and they decided to give me narcan. What followed was the worst experience of my life. I wouldnt wish that feeling on my worst enemy. Upon being given life saving narcan. I went into severe withdrawal. I could not control my body. I felt terrible, the worst feeling I ever felt. My body moved around violently. I remember asking Jesus for help, I didnt know what to do. The life saving Narcan stopped the opiod overdose. But it had gave way for very serious withdrawal symptoms. I remember asking the nurse to be given a sedative. The problem was my body was still moving uncontrolably. I could not stay still long enough to be injected with a sedative. It ended up taking some time and two male nurses holding me down to allow for this. Once I was put to sleep, I awoke in the ICU, I was still having uncontrolable body movements. My body would move every so often. Disrupting everything, including spleep. I went through the withdrawal side effects for months. It was difficult and uncomfortable. I was medically retired from the Air Force after the fentynal incident. However I would be living with the side effects of this event for years to come. I was lucky I did not die. I could have died that day from the fentynal overdose. I counted my blessings and tried to move on with my life. My daughter almost would not have a father had things gone differently that day.

I left the Air Force a differnent man then when I had entered service. After the overdose, I struggled to regulate my emotions, My military career had been cut short. I had ended up with issues in my spine. I felt like less of a man that I could not do heavy duty work. I no longer had pain killers, I could feel everything. I dealt with daily pain, from regular day to day activity. I struggled to hold jobs , due to the phyiscal nature of my pain and also due to a mental health disorders. I was unable to do that which I had been trained to do. I had to let go of my career. I ended up in a real bad way. I was dealing with Bi polar , General aniexty disorder and depression and ptsd. I spent many time working with my doctors to help me through such a life change. I had ended up divorced through all of that, my daughter lived with her mother full time. I was effected greatly by seeing my daughter deal with a broken home. And me not being able to earn top dollar I was limited in what I could do. Things progressively got more difficult for me. Around 2016, I ended up moving in with family to help me get more stable. Living alone was not ideal for me. I had my first serious manic episode, I was lucky to have my family help me through that. It was then that I think that Jesus said let me send you a Angel without wings.

Enter my Soul Doggo Baby Junior. After my first serious manic episode, I became very close with my puppy dog Junior. He was not a formally trained service dog. However he picked up on things very intuitively. When I would get panic attacks, he was there to pull me through it. When the whole world did not understand me, he was there. Without judgement, with uncondtional love. Junior was a sweet boy, he slept at my side for many years. I cherish every moment I had with him. Even when I struggled to find reasons to keep going on. Junior would make me smile. Running zoomies , and playing fetch with any stick. Junior was a blessing to my life. I reconnected with my inner child, thanks to Junior.
